I have a 1988 camaro with four twelve inch woofers kicker comp vr dvc with a 500 watt lanzar amp.the problem is when all voicecoils are hooked up and you turn it up speakers sound like two 10 inch speakers, but when i hook one side of the voicecoil the speakers pound head could the be bad hooking one side of the coil up.

how do you have them wired? the impedance could be too high the way you are wiring it.. also, you might think about upgrading your amp if you're gonna be running 4 subs

my money would be one that you wired some out of phase, reversed the + and - . doing this makes the subs cancel each other out. make sure that the wiring is correct.

if that doesnt change anything try wiring up each sub one by one and see if any dont work correct.

my money still goes on 1 or 2 being out of phase. good luck.

I Agree with mud you need more power. Those comp vr's can handle plenty unless you have them in a very big box. I have heard its bad to hook up one coil but im not positive.

when you're only hooking up one voice coil it's only 2 ohms, when both are hooked up i think they're in series, so it's 4 ohms...

You can do it one of two ways to get 4 ohms back to the amp.

This one's kinda hard to understand. The other one's MUCH WORSE!!

This one's harder to understand just because the artist sucks.

Just follow along with the math and you'll get it.
