DVD built into back seat

I was reading through the tech article on put amps into the back seat and it perked my interest. It got me thinking, would it be possible to mount a DVD player back there. You'd have to do it so that the drawer from the player could come of the top of the seat. That way you'd just fold the seat down and hit eject. Any thoughts/opinions on the fesibility of doing this? Would there be any way to disguise it so that the seat still looked factory until the DVD tray popped out? Thanks, Joe

i did somehting similar to what i think your talkign about in my car. i put xbox and my cd changer behind the back seat and built an amp rack over it to hide them when the seat is up, my subs are in a custom box down in the rear well. i took 3 pictures of mine. it was a quick set-up i did over on a thursday night for a car show at englishtown raceway park NJ in september. i got 3rd place in my camaro/firebird group.

I'm talking about physically building it into the back of the back seat. There's a tech article on it but they did amps. I really like your idea tho, it looks really good. Come to think of it, my speaker box extends up the the top of the back seat, so i could probably just notch it a few inches where it connects to the back seat. Thanks, Joe

ah ok i know u mean know, yea its possible with a little work, if its a small dvd player youd have to un-zip and remove the seat cover, then remove some of the seat cushioning from the top middle, and then just find a way to mount it to the inner structure of the seat, once thats doen measure and cut out an opening on the correspoinding area on the seat cover, then reinstall the cover so it all lines up, all wires would be hidden in the seat and come out the bottom, with so final finishing you could have a tray come out, or get a dvd player with just a slot for the dvd, that way you could eject it with the seat up even, ...imagine that..."hold on, gotta change DVD's" as one comes straight out of the seat itself....that would be unique...if you try it, make sure you send me pics

That's what I was hoping for. Most of my setup so far is pretty showy, so I wanted to do some of it more stealth so that it's like "yeah, you got a nice stereo" and then I flip down the back seat, "oh you have a nice dvd and playstation too"
