Based on the size of the unit, you can get some to fit in the center console if you cut out the plastic bottom. Again depending on size you could do it under the passenger seat. Another option, assuming you haven't bought any yet, is to get a cdplayer with changer control and a matching in dash changer. A little cutting is involved but you should be able to get both to fit in the console. Speaking from experience tho, you really won't change the cds as often as you think. I change the cds in the magazine maybe once a month. If I have something I want to listen to right away, I just use the player in the head unit.

you sure you can fit in in the console? there isnt too much room below the plastic before you hit the tranny hump. i wanted to put my eq in their (1/2 din) and there just wasnt enough depth. you could always try under the front seats. may not be enough room there either though....

I know Jim85Iroc had said something a while back about the newer units could fit. I think something like the 6 disc alpine might be able to.

MaineIrocer, you definently can build it into your enclosure/amp rack. A lot of show and demo vehicles do it that way, it kind of shows off everything you have. I had wanted to mount mine in between my amps, but I didn't have enough room. I actually have mine in the driver's side storage compartment. It's pretty handy in there and if someone broke into my car, I don't think they'd look in there, plus it's locked. I don't know about you but I never used the storage compartment so I really wasn't losing any space.

I would mount it under the dash. It fits fine with minor cutting for the wires and is easy to reach.

Ya, there's two 8"subs and a tweet in each door.

http://groups.msn.com/TDZandFriends/...ly90irocz.msnw <-- url to the cars setup in total theres 10 subs 6 tweets and to 4"mids. He has won a second and several thirds sofar in compentition. I am proud to admit I helped abit with the setup. I installed the deck and shuttle one amp plus came up with the idea for the 8's in the doors and the 10's in the 6x9 spot along with fitting the 15's in the back. Autosonics did all the costom fabrication and designing to get them all to fit with the correct air volume.

How is yours secured? I haven't had any problems with skipping and neither has my brother. I know tho that some people have a problem getting a screw driver in there and sometimes only put in one screw.:nono: At the very least you could put some glue or tape or something the changer mounts to help it hold down. Also what's the condition of the cardboard insert like? If it's loose and about to fall down then no amout of securing the changer will stop it from skipping.

Did you really spend $30K on those speakers?

lol

Well, 2 things, Its in Canadian $$ and second thats not me thats Tim and his car. And I got no clue how much he really paid but that will also be for the custom work, amps and basicaly whole stereo setup not just the speakers. I wont argue with him since I dont really know the cost, but it does sound abit pricey for my blood. I got no subs in my car right now, will prolly be going JL audio when I get around to it. And I wont be going to that extreme.
