If you can build a box 4" deep that can hold a 5" deep sub, let me know.

You could pull the seats out and do something fancy but I wouldn't reccomend it. I'd only do it if I needed the room to cram like 6 12's or something in there. Hmmmm....

Stick with the trunk and keep it simple. Two subs in the trunk will sound better than two in the back seat any day.

I made a box for two 12's. I took out the back rest, but left the lower seats. I cut a spot for the hump in the center. Fit perfect. It even rested on the 2 brackets that held in the back rest. The subs faced each front seat. And I put the amp in the rear well.

jaws do you have any pics of your install? I've ben thinking of doing this since I put in harnesses and the back seats don't get used anymore anyway.

low frequency sound waves are like 12 feet long or something...so the farther you are from the sub, the better and clearer it sounds. thats why in the trunk, bouncing it off the hatch, is best usually...but then again ive never heard a system with subs 12" away from your head so i guess my opinion doesnt count

Definetly put them in the back...Personally they look better that way i think the big boxes look to cluttery and take away from the car.......just my opinion

i do agree i had the same 12's in a box on my back seats because the fold down so i just sat the box there and it sounded alright but then i got the trunk box finished and put the same 12's in the trunk box and it pounds a lot harder now than it did in the box right behind my head on the back seats.
