not a clue about that '94 one, but the units that came in ~96+ trucks and such are very good. They are the same ones that come in the later 4th gen f-bodies as well as vettes. One to avoid is what comes in '97+ Grand Prix's, they are total trash...

I had one out of a 96 Impala...it sounded pretty good, until the cd player quit working. I was not really surprised, as it had quit on my dad once before.

line out converters. can get them at most places that sell car audio stuff. check first to see if the amp has line level inputs. many do. jensen's not the best of stuff, but if it was free, you can use it. just dont expect the 680w it advertizes....

what do line leval inputs look like

what do the line leval inputs look like and also how much does the adapter usualy cost for what im trying to do. its sux kindof cause i also have to get an antena adapter cause my 83 antena hook up isnt the same as the 94 cd players. i already had to buy a new wiring harness for it lol this is starting to suck.

is this a good cdplayer to have i like it alot cause its din and a half so the install doesnt look like a hack job it looks factory. my car has factory 6by9 inch speakers that will be being hooked up to it also eventualy im going to upgrade them to prolly sony explode.

Line level inputs? You mean speaker level inputs?

Speaker level inputs look like regular terminals; they connect to the speaker outputs of a factory radio. The sound isn't as clean as line level inputs- which is RCA connectors.

A line out converter takes speaker level inputs and converts them into line level outputs. Then you connect the outputs to the amp using regular RCA cables... again, won't sound as clean as using line outputs from the very start. The more you crank the volume, the more the system will want to distort.

Go to http://www.google.com and type in "amplifier line output converters" (don't type the double quotes), you'll find tons of information.
