I'm gonna move this over the car audio board, I don't see what it has to do with appearance and detailing.

try using some "L Brackets" (i guess that's the right name) and bolt it down to the trunk. I never had to do anything to mine, it just fits in place, but it only has 2 10's and no amp on the box, it also has the other box with the other 2 10's and the amp pushing up against it on the other end. like this: http://www.virtual-underground.com/p.../car_trunk.jpg

wouldnt recommend a setup like that. if you do, do not bolt directly down. find some other area to bolt to. a box like that would be dangerous in an accident and doesnt benefit from our car's hatchback setup (aka better bass)

Definitely do not bolt anything down in that region. very little space between that hump and your gas tank which lies beneath it. You don't wanna go drilling into your gas tank. As CAMp3RO thats not entirely your best option. Build yourself a box that will sit flush in the well and never have to worry about your box sliding all over the place again.

Also it's a public invitation for thieves. IMHO, subs in the well sound sooooo much better anyway, plus there is a bit more room for air space for the subs. But, if you don't mind holes in your plastic trim, get the L brackets and run bolts or screws into the side plastic that covers the wheel well.

you could try and get the hook side of the velcro (probably quite a bit) and staple some of it ti the bottom. But as otheres have said it not a highley recomended spot.

TeeHee. That box was in my car for awhile (actually that is my car). I have metal plates under the box that screw into the box from underneath and screw into the metal deck from the top. You can't see the plates because they're covered by the plastic trim. The gas tank doesn't extend completely to each side of the hatch. There's a good inch or so at the ends you can safely screw into. That box sounded good.
