Eclipse player won't eject CD or play.....

I was cruising along when the CD started to skip. I figured it was dirty and let it go, but a few minutes later the CD stopped playing and the CD player flashed a "info 3" code. Which when I looked it up in the manual says its a dirty disc. Goes on about the CD player rejecting discs, or not ejecting them. But it DOESN'T say how to manually eject a CD from a slot loader. I can't find a pin hole to use a paper clip with like you would on a tray loader so I'm asking you guys.

BTW, eclipse has kept their damn mouth shut about this and I can't get a response by email. Actually, I've never gotten a response from them about any of my queries.

Does anyone know how to eject a disc without taking the head unit apart? Any place to stick a paper clip to eject it?

I'm not taking a pair of needle nose pliers to my $300 deck. Nuh uh. I'll sooner buy another just like it and switch them before I do that.

No offense taken at your response. I'm just as lost here. I think I might be taking the deck apart this weekend. At least its just a ol' CDR, and not a CD I actually paid for.

My deck screwed up like yours one time but it was because I zapped it by touching wires together, broke my heart at the time so I know how you feel. If all else fails you could always take your deck to a shop and they might send it off to get it fixed for you. Good luck

Info 3 is a bad disc...but it should pop it out..somethin may be funny w/the deck..i'd take it in..both of mine when i get info 3 always eject..the only thing i can think of is turn it off and hit eject..maybe it'll spit it out

try completely unhooking the power, whether its by removing the fuse or unhooking the wiring harness. some decks ive played with, when power is unhooked (give it 15-30 sec just for ha ha's) and reconnected, it will automatically pop the cd out. you can also see if there's a reset button somewhere on the deck, sometimes that works.

Tried both the reset button and cutting power to the car. I have a short somwhere so I have to dissconect the battery every night.

I bought the player on Ebay as a New in box item, so I don't get the warrenty. :*(

Since I don't have a warrenty I think I'll take the deck apart this weekend and remove the disc. It won't play or eject the CD. I hope the CD didn't fracture, or shatter in there. But I think I would have heard it otherwise. It just kind of stopped playing and started flashing the Info 3. Then I tried to eject and it wouldn't do that either.

Fixed it, I disassembled the entire unit, greased some things and tapped the electrical motor. Put it back together and wala. It worked.
