I just purchased my first car and it came with a pretty new JVC cd player. When I put a cd in it acts normal and then spits in out after about 5 seconds. Any reason why this happens? Anyway to fix it? Do you think my local Best Buy or Circuit City could fix it?

I forgot to put the radio works fine and the speakers are also working well. It seems to be located in the cd player only.

 

Does it do it with every cd or just some?

It's a bad optical pickup. A good shop would probable fix it for $150 or so.

 

It does it with every CD I put in it. Wow, 150$, probably should just get a new one.
