Subenclosures.com pics of new kick panels design / notice of vacation

Hello,

As mentioned in my last post, I've been working on a redesign for the kick panels. Mostly because the molds I have are starting to wear out.

Take a look at the pics and let me know what you think! They probably won't be ready for production until late July. The pricing will be similar, perhaps a little more than the current version. I'm also thinking about adding an option to get them backed and sealed for some additional fee.

On a side note, I'll be taking a break in orders from now until June 30th. I have National Guard traing for 2 weeks in CA.

Lookin good. The new tweeter location is nice. Lots of room as well. I'll keep sending people your way as I can. That's kinda like what I'm doing for my car but I'm putting a little more angle on the mid because I'm going with a 5.25. Your design is awesome for people going with a larger mid that need room.

They're angled toward you a little, but not much. If you put more of an angle on the woofer, then you start encroaching on foot space and limiting mounting depth.

Those look awesome, how much more room is there between the clutch and those as apposed to your old model? The reason I ask is cuz I never bought a pair of the old ones cuz there didnt look like much room to the side of the clutch, and I always rest my foot on the dead petal to keep from riding the clutch. Also, are these going to be cheaper, or same, or what?

Thanks! I think they save 1/4"-1/2" of space versus the current style. These ones have a slight angle to the mid instead of facing straight out. The pricing (as mentioned earlier) will be similar or slightly more. I won't know until I make a real set.
