help i got static

help i got static

i just put in a aftermarket cd player now when i listen to radio fm or am i get i little static but only when car is runing turn the car of it sounds great is this a prob with ing.wires?if so what do i do i dont know much about car radios

It's possible that you have a ground loop. Does the noise increse when you give it gas? It usually happens with amps but can happen with CD players as well. Check the ground and/or give it a new ground.

no it dosent i have herd what i bad ground sounds like and this isnt it. it dosnt have static on every fm chanel but the ones it does u can turn the key back to where the car turns off but the radio is still on and the static goes away

get some better plug wires, to start with, see if that changes anything,

RF interference, if it only happens on certain stations can cause that problem.

check your ant wire. make sure you have a real good connection.. and wrap the connection in elec. tape. I had to get an adapter for my stereo.. all it was is a chunk of wire with a straight end on it instead of the 90 that is on the car.. That way I got a real solid connection.. and it cost me llike $3.. they stock them at the stereo shops.. However that may not be your problem..
