Box set up, angled or flat? Is flat safe?
My box is going to be flat, but i dont know if it is going to be safe for my glass or can i do it and be ok with it. I think the angled ones if you dont get them right could keep from the hatch shutting completley. I saw one yesterday on a convertable and it wouldnt shut.

I think that you may have already seen my box, the angled or wedge one is easy to make and only cost $30-$35 to make yourself and if i made it then any fool can .
The flush one if you only went down to the first ledge would only really have enough airspace for one sub, and im sure you want two so you really need as much air as possible.
If you do the wedge you get more space with less work (less conturing to the hatch pit), just remember to make the top of the box flush with the plastic trim that draws the hatch down and you will clear just fine.
he is a pic of mine...
?Are you planing to build it yourself or have someone else do it?
All it takes to build this one is some MDF, 72-98 screws, silocone, Jigsaw and a circular saw that can be adjusted for angled cuts.

Here is a pic of a flat box. It works and sounds great, but the only problem is that the excursion on the Eclipse is longer than that of the alpine Type-R the box was built for, and the cone hits the back panel on certain frequencies.

are your subs in that pic? Or is it just the box? I believe mine are sitting on top in the holes of the box. I was just worried that it would rattle b/c of the plastic sides.
