Need help on replacing some speakers
I currently have 4x6 bostons in the front and the 6x9's are sony's. THe ones im thinking about replacing them with concept speakers.
Theses are made by Concept they are 6x9's are they worth buying?
I could get them for $109 retail for $159
And also do you fellows know of any 4x6's pushing out a high rms. Concepts ones are doing 85 rms. Or do you fellows reccommend somethin better? Audiobahn's 4x6s? On the way is a set of Image Dynamics subs.
PS: There 6x9 3 way model handles 150rms

Power handling isn't everything. Sound quality goes a long way toward the enjoyment of what you have. I have two neighbors with lots of power. One has 1000 watts (in a pickup) and the other has around 800 watts (in a 1992 Camry). Both have subs.
They both get better low end kick than my little 89 Nissan pickup with it's Boston Accoustic FX-8 (low end) and Boston Accoustic RM-6 (mid grade) speakers just running off the Kenwood KDC-519 deck. But they are running really cheap speakers and they sound that way. They both admit they wish their systems sounded half as good as mine does, especially since they have more money in their systems. Because I shopped carefully and bought things on sale, I only spent $500.00 on the whole system. If I had a sub, I would need an amp. But I'm too tall to put a sub behind the seat in this little thing so it will stay just like it is.
They are really going to cry when I finish installing the stereo in the Camaro with the Rally Series RM-6 6-1/2" front speakers, RM-9 6x9" wing speakers and the Alpine sub with a 850 watt capable Alpine amp.....
I would reccomend the Boston speakers if you can find them in your area. The RM-9's handle 220 watts max and 55 Watts RMS. That's more than loud enough to necessitate ear plugs to prevent hearing damage....... I got mine on sale for $200 at the Good Guys because they were going to quit carrying them (national decision, and against the wishes of the sales people) I saved $100 versus the normal price of the speakers..... If you get the display models, you could save even more on a speaker that probably has very little use time....... I prefer new, but budgets sometimes demand otherwise.
PS: Never heard of Concept, of course I'm just getting back into car stereos.....
