Lightning audio subs

ive done a search and for the most part some people think they are good, some dont.....So anyhow a lot of the questions and replys were from a couple years ago, what do people think about the subs nowadays?

I have the fast & the furious set from Wal-Mart, 10 inch woofer in box, amp, and wiring for $150. sounds better than no sub at all

it's the second cheap amp/sub set I've gone through. if I went ahead and did it right, what should I get? My receiver and speakers are all Pioneer.

Depends on what kind of bass you want. If you want accurate reproduction, I'd go w/ Audiobahn. Anything else will thump. Stick with a good amp.

For the money you spent on the 2 cheap sets you could have got a decent setup. I spent 50 bucks for my pioneer 10 inch and about 150 for my amp and my HU is also a pioneer and the rest of the speakers in the car is all stock (imagine that). Not the loudest setup you can get but it rocks pretty good for me. I too was ripped off by the fast and furious setup I bought it for my wifes car for 90 bucks on clearance, had it hooked up for about 20 min. and took it all back out and sold it on ebay.

What most peoples problem is they are impatient and have a couple of hundred bucks to spend and they buy the first thing they can afford instead of saving thier money to buy a decent system setup.
