Not much tricks to it. Just wiring differently. I'll hook ya up.
If it's a DVC (Dual Voice Coil) sub type it's easy. You can turn a 4 ohm into a 2 ohm. If it's a single voice coil type then you will need 2 single 4 ohms to make a 2 ohm.
1 DVC driver with Voice Coils in Parallel
Connecting the two voice coils of the driver in parallel (+ to +, - to -) will result in the following impedances:
Dual-6 Ohm Subwoofer: 3 Ohms
Dual-4 Ohm Subwoofer: 2 Ohms
Dual-2 Ohm Subwoofer: 1 Ohms
2 SVC drivers with Voice Coils in Parallel
Important: Do not implement any wiring scheme not seen here, including but not limited to series connections between drivers. For more information on why, please consult the DVC FAQ.
3 Ohm Subwoofer: 1.5 Ohms
4 Ohm Subwoofers: 2 Ohms
8 Ohm Subwoofers: 4 Ohms
12 Ohm Subwoofers: 6 Ohms
Wanna see more stuff (hooking up 1 to 6 DVCs or Singles check this out)
