Wiring up my IPOD
Hey folks... Well I'm planning on somehow wiring my ipod into my car stereo. The head i got has no inputs... But i was reading tpiroc's laptop install and saw that he had audio from his laptop into his stereo...
Any ideas on how i can pull this off? Thanks in advance!

Yup
You sure can, you need an rf modulator, these are not the best things in the world but they do work, it plugs into your ant and then your ant plugs into this and it has an audio in for your ipod laptop, whatever. Then you turn your radio to 88.9 or the staion they have picked out and there ya go. This is not the best way, the best way would be to have a head unit with inputs, but it sure does work and you can get a rf mod pretty cheep..depending where your at i might beable to get you one..

No, I think you’re out of luck with that one. I don’t even think the L410 is a changer controller, is it? If it was a changer controller and you where using a changer you could use a RCA switch. I think your only option there is to use a RF modulator. How good are you with electronics? Think your good enough to do some SMT modifications?

That sucks that you don't have a input in your deck.
I recently installed my iPod in, and I love it, unlimited music at the touch of a finger. I can write up how I did it and post pictures later if your interested. I'll tell you in advance you will most likely be disapointed with the audio quality of more FM modulators, but they work if its all you can do. I personally got a RCA input box for my pioneer that allows me to use the iPod as a Aux device and it sounds 1000x better than with the FM modulator.

I'm not really good with electronics... i guess i'll just have to stick to CDs in my car...
Thanks guys!
