Out with the old, in with the new
My old Deck was Pioneer DEH-1500. Returned it in time to meet the warranty, got 100% of my money back.
Pioneer DEH-1500 specs
Went out and picked up the Clarion
Clarion DXZ 535
Havn't heard it yet, Just wondering what everyone else thinks of it.
Also, my 10" DVC Massive sub, RWD10 300 watts rms.
And I got a Clarion 600watt 3,4,5 channel amp. To put 300watts x 2. To the front 4x6's.
And save the other 300 watts for the sub.
Not a bad setup if you ask me. The single 10 should be able to hit around 130DB in a sealed box
or aeroport, not sure which one yet

looks good to me except you might find that the clarion skips more than the pioneer. those lower line pioneers are known for never skipping.
also be careful with your gain settings with the front speakers, you're probably overpowering them which isnt necessarily a bad thing so just make sure its clean power.
other than that good luck

The 4x6 can handle 150 rms each. So im sure I'll be fine. I've heard that Clarion doesn't skip very much. And my car is too low to be 4x4in anyway. So for street use im sure its fine. I compiled all my info about what im buying practicly from this website, So thanks to everyone

After reading a bit, Im not sure I wanna get the Clarion amp. Maybe Ill get JUST an amp for the sub.
I can get a better deal if I just get a massive amp.
Anyone got specs on the PA 25?
Anyway. My 4x6's can handle 50 watts rms. My deck puts out 17 watts rms. Will this still sound ok?

Couple of Massive Audio 4x6. 50 watts rms. Got that cone on the tweeter so the sound goes everywhere, so u dont lose clarity when it bounces offa the window

amplified speakers will always sound better. Your deck might put out 17 watts rms but that's at high distortion levels.
even a 25X2 amp should put out 20 watts of clean power per channel which would be a noticeable difference to your speakers.
basically the higher frequency your speakers will play the cleaner signal you want to give them because distortion is more audible at higher frequencies. In other words, you can get away with having a fairly large THD number for your sub amp(s) but for your highs you should go for something quality.
MA amps have been known to be overrated in their power specs. Im not sure about their new stuff though
btw i see you're from BC you should check out http://www.vancouverfbody.com theres lots of info there and great people

well i dont have too much experience with clarion amps but their specs dont seem to be anything special. They appear to be priced fairly well though
