Its not high high end and its not junk sony so i think the price is right. I run 2 12" impp pioneers and i like em.

I guess it depends on your expectations. The amp has a very inflated power rating, the subs are unremarkable, and wire is wire.
It'll probably be worth the money, but not really much more. Unfortunately, there aren't many cheap amps out there that deliver satisfying results.
What I would do is find an inexpensive class D subwoofer amp. $150-200 should get you at least a couple hundred watts. Then I'd buy one sub with the same amount of money you're planning on spending for two. One good sub with more power will play as loud (or louder) than a pair of subs with a junk amp, plus the sound quality will be FAR better.
Right now Sounddomain.com has the phoenix gold titanium subs on sale dirt dirt cheap, and they have a very good reputation for excellent sound quality and good SPL. Another alternative would be the Dayton Quatro subs. I haven't used them yet, but I plan to on an upcoming install. I expect good results.

Looks like a good first setup!
Like someone else said, the amp is horribly over-rated, but with a hatchback, even a min. amt of bass will sound loud.
Word of advice, if you haven't already, make sure you listen the sub before buying it - make sure that's what you had in mind. All subs vary, and since you'll be listening to it, might as well check before spending the money

Since it's hitting the hatch, subs sound a lot louder than they really are

There are better ways to get what you want.

Yup, that's why I decided to go with the single Adire Brahma, I can't wait to get it.
It's amazing how many times I've been asked, "You're only getting 1 sub???" or "Don't you need 2 speakers back there?" when I show them my sub enclosure. I don't know why it's so hard for people to understand that 1 good sub will out-pound and sound better than 2 crap subs....
