I just used a ring terminal and put it in between the main battery and power cable. Hope that helps, might not be exactly what you were talking about, but I can go take a picture if that would help any.

they have a replacement bolt that replaces the one that you screw into your battery. It had a nut on the end so you can mount your amp or whatever wire to. ill try to find a pic of it..Pepboys sells it i remember seeing it there.

Hope this is what you were talking about and helps some...

Here's the battery with the side posts. The black wire loom with the purple connector at the end is my amp power wire. It has a ring connector on the end.

If you do it this way you can strip out the lead threads in your battery.,If you use the connecter in the link i posted the top bolt uscrews so you can add the ring for the amp wire without unscrewing it from the battery.
makes it look cleaner too.

go to your local wal mart or auto parts store car audio store or anything like that. Ive got one that you screw it on. Then theres another bolt on the other end of it you screw off and attach the wire (with the hoop attachment.) to. Its not really worth ordering because you might strip it like I did and have to order it again.

Nate

I can take pix if need of my hoop attached to the wire and the bolt that goes onto the battery.

I knew right away I would have to deal with them damned side posts. So I solved things right away.

I bought a nice 800CCA (1000CA) battery with both kinds of posts. Never had a problem.

Now I enjoy laughing at those with only the side posts.

That was until I installed a stereo in my friend's camaro.

He had only side posts. I had to face my own mockery.

LOL.

It got done.

I definitely second that!! After having to disconnect the battery enough times I went and bought one of those extentions too!

Previously mine was wired like the picture from CorVM... it was a TOTAL pain!!
