HO Alternators....

Does anyone have one in their ride??

My '91 has a 105A alt stock, but I slowly wore it out. So instead of spending the $$ and just getting a temp replacement of another 105A, I wanna get a HO alt.

Now, Dominick Iraggi is the guy that is most talked about on SD with nothing but positive reviews, but it turns out, it's his side business, and the typical return call time is ~1 month. I can't wait that long... My Bird is off the road right now, and I need to get her and alt to get her back up on the road again!!

Also, no Mr. Alternator - Out of the 100's of reviews I've read on this guy, I've heard maybe 5 positive reviews, and even that is being nice.

So... if anyone has any suggestions, and could either provide a link or number or email, that'd be great and I would appreciate it!!

just have your alternator respun for more amps. the prebuilt ones are uausly cheap and burn out quick or have crap inturnals. even if you have high amps the car wont allow you to utilize all of them, only what is needed

I have the powermaster 140 amp chome alt it works great what is wrong with your alt. I bought a rebuild kit from pepboys before for like 15 bucks it comes with a new regulator, brushes, bearing and diode pack. so you might be able to just rebuild yours.

I got my HO 160 amp alternator from Mr. Alternator. It's been in the car for 2 years now. Had no problems with their service other than I think it took about 4 or 5 days to get. Have had no problems with the alt yet and Im running a good 1500 watts RMS system in the car.
