i have a kx1200.1 it's a nice amp. but i'd get a bigger amp for the L7's there rated for 750wrms.

my birth sheet from kicker was 1450wrms for my kx1200.1. try the sx1250.1

it depends which amp you get...the JBL is stable at 1 or 2 ohms so you could get the DVC 4 ohm or DVC 2 ohm

the kicker amp puts out most of its power at 1 ohm mono so you would want to go with 4 ohm DVC if you're using two L7s.

I would say if you can find enough box space, just go with one L7 and give it the full 1200+ watts ported.

whats the adv to one s12L7 over two ? i thought that if i had two L7's 750rms 1500watt rms on subs and then an amp with 1500 watt rms or upwards of it that it would sound louder hit harded and be overall better than one with its max power going threw it

with one L7 you could have an enclosure thats more suitable for the sub

ok i understand the because the box has less air space then recomended for the speaker lets say u were building a geat system say what you would get 1500 watts rms and hits like a mother f*ck$r. because that s what i want! let me know how u would build one please

it depends how big of a box you plan on using...from my limited experience with L7s i think they respond fairly well in a larger ported box so i would say go with a single 12L7 in about 4.0 cubes tuned to 35 hz or so. Or if you can find 6+ cubes you could go with a 15L7 but its going to be tough to find that much box space and still have it look good.

personally i would say just one 12L7 run off of a JBL1200.1 in a well designed ported box should have excellent output in these cars. I would say get the dual 2 ohm because if you plan on competing you can run one amp per coil as the JBL amp puts out its most power at 1 or 2 ohms. Thats what i did in the past, i ran a 15L7 in 6.6 cubes gross tuned to 53hz with one JBL per coil and it was pretty loud and the sub took it just fine. Never had it metered though.

well its really a matter of how much box space you have. The SoloX is an amazing sub, but you dont have enough airspace for it to perform as well as it could.

if you really want two subs then you'll need something that works in a very small box. Maybe two adire brahma 10s would work for you http://www.adireaudio.com IMO two brahmas woukld have much better SQ than a single L7 and i think it would probably get a bit louder too.
