why the hell do you want all the same brand?
Do you think you'll get better sound? sponsorship?
Ok for the money of that sub you can get a brahma, WAY better than audiobahn.
A CAP? Might as well throw that buck fifty down the drain.
I have no exp with audiobahn head units
AND why the hell do people let people rape them on boxes?!!?!?!?!!?
Also i noticed you want to spend $81 on a grill but dont even list an amp!?

*hint* 98% of audiobahn is garbage, the amps are known to over heat. they are flashy and chromed to catch the eye of persons new to the car audio scene. The woofer lack SQ yeah some of them can get loud, but who wants to listen to just one loud "brrrrrrrrp"
on to the good stuff, they make a few distroblocks that are worth buying :-D....and the immortal series woofers that isnt made by audiobahn..or wasnt designed by..or something that they werent involved in is supposed to be a decent product...(but they recently chromed her to hell and back too)
..as of right now the only setup i could see maintaining the same brand through out the car would have to be JL.
..maybe Elemental once they get there amps and components out and for sale
in conclusion audiobahn is garbage
had to add more...
1. caps are useless, as has been stated.
2. audiobahn speakers suck (2-way, 3-way)..friend bough a pair of 6x9's for around 25 bucks i think he said...he wanted his money back...so that didnt instill much confifence in me.
3. audiobahn HU? ...i dont knwo what to say there except NO!!!!
4. yes, i have owned there subs and well they suck.
5. We're arent knocking you, justw arning you. We are glad you asked before you purchase(i hope)

Like blyth18md said about jl. Its hard sometimes to find a manufact that makes good everything.
For example i love jbl amps but their subs? No thankyou.
Seems like Audiobahn should be making rims as much as they like to chrome ****.
Check out Jbl, Ed, DD, adirea audio, kicker, inhuman, american bass. All would give you more for your money then Audiobahn.
check out some car audio forums to get some ideas as what sounds good and whats all show.

That depends on what your system is gonna be made of. How many subs? What rms are they? How many speakers?
Do you have any of the system now or are you looking?
I normally buy the head unit then work my way back, ei head unit, then front end speakers, then (in 3rd gen cases) 6x9's or a set of 6 1/2 components(much better than 6x9's) then i make my mind up on what sub(s) and how many i want. THen i think about amp(s). This way im not stuck with a amp that doesnt work too good with my system.

Caps never have been worth anything, more of a product sold on good marketting really.
Number one, i have dimming head lites (no i dont just giving an example) so i bought a cap. <~~ WRONG , if you have dimming head lites then FIRST you should upgrade the 3 underhood wires (im sure everyone and their grandma knows what ones its been talked about so much) then if you still have the problem you need a higher output alt BECAUSE if your charging system can not supply enough current to keep the lites from dimming then adding a cap (which needs to be chearged ) will cause more of a strain on an already weak system.
Sure caps store blah blah blah and release yada yada helping bass, BUT a cap releases ALL its reserve SO FAST its really useless!
Just a bandaid for a car that needs a bigger alt.
BTW some people SWEAR they help, my uncle is one of them, he had his car metered once, i forget the numbers but they wernt too impressive, he swore the numbers would be better once he got his cap. Got his cap, went back and got the same numbers!

im not getting into this useless arguement again, caps are worthless in the real world.
It puts out power faster than a cars battery, correct, BUT it puts out its intire reserve in less than a second, so that means your deep bass music just drained your cap dry and even now while your bass note is hitting your cap is trying to drawl current to recharge causing more harm than good in a way.
Caps keep voltage more stable?
AAAAAAHHHHNNNNNTTTTTTT wrong agian!
You get the most power when your car is running correct?
IF you get 13.8 with the car running the best your cap is gonna do is equal the alts voltage since it gets its power from the alt.
Bass note hits, alt drops because its too small to handle the audio amp(s) drain, the caps voltage drops also, it discharges WAY too fast to help in any way other than on paper.
My uncle has a 1400 rms amp and two jl 12's (woohoo i know who cares, not me) he was one of those "caps are gods" people, he gained .5db METERED when he put his 2 farad cap in. The human ear cant even tell the difference with a .5 gain!!!
For the price of some of these caps you could save up and buy the real answer to the problem, a high output alt and thick wires under the hood.

Caps aren't a source of current, they're a filter. They charge just as fast as they discharge (well maybe a little slower but we're talking thousandths of a second here) so there is minimal draw. But you guys are mostly right.
They're way overused in pre-amp audio setups where any benefit they do is most likely unnoticable. As was said, if you're lights are dimming then you need a higher output alt (or dual batts) a cap probably won't make much difference. Maybe if you had like a 1000 Farad cap but that would probably weigh what your car does. They'd be better used after the amp or connected directly to the speaker but then you're messing with the engineering of the amp and a good amp should have all the filtering it needs for it's specified range. Or you can wire 'em in series with the speaker to change the freq response.

the most overlooked part of a stereo setup is having a healthy electrical system that can support your equipment. A cap will only mask your signs of a weak electrical system.

on paper no .You can gain very little, so little you wont hear the diff. BUT in a comp you can win by a very small amount so i guess it could come in handy in that case. BUT WAYYYYYYYYY to many people buy a cap when they have a 2k amp and a stock electrical system and think its the answer to all their problems. In that stituation a cap is doing nothing. Caps are misused really.
As far as sub/amp choices go,you can't go wrong with
a pair of infinity perfect 10.1 10" subs and a JBL BP-600.1 amp.
Subs 350 watt rms,1400 watt peak....Amp 300 watt rms x2.
Check out about any caraudio forum and you will see.
This is what I have for my low end.
Price.....$450 shipped to my door.

I think boomin boy hit it about the caps a few posts up! I have an old coach that is an electrician and builds alot of high end stereos for fun. They had a suburban that was filled with audio gear a few years back that you literally couldnt be in the truck with teh system on. WE're talkign knoking stuff off walls and shelves and crap. But anyway he knows his stuff and i go to him for any advice i need he told me way back when that the minute you start keeping brands is when you have problems. For instance all pioneer or all sony. Liek he said you go through them and get teh best product each makes. For example Audiobahn may make good blocks but the jl subs are better and teh sony head unit is what i like etc. etc. I say go with fosgate havent had a prob with any of their stuff yet.

I would certainly rethink the head unit man. Sony is going downhill fast. So far I've had 3 Sony decks and they have all seemmed to be crap. Skipping, won't read Cd's when it's cold, etc., etc. I have a system hitting 147 db with the head unit skipping every 2 sec. If I were you look into some Alpine or Kenwood head units. Money much better spent definitely.

Glad to hear you changed your mind,. Eclipse is MUCH better than sony. Im sure you'd be happy with it. I wasnt being biased before , just hate to see someone waiste money. Alot of people buy sony crap thinking" Sony, well known name, must be good" and end up hating the junk.
