Has anyone ever tried "Quiet Car" as an alternative to Dynamat? Its a spray on. Heres the link:
www.quietcar.net
They say its twice as better than Dynamat at noise reduction. Costs less too. Anyone with opinions on this?

spray on stuff is great for hard-to-reach areas, but i'm still a huge fan of peel and seel from home depot/lowes. $1/sq ft, rolls of 25 ft (i think), and easy to get. and when applied right (clean surface, heat gun/ hairdryer), it sticks really well.

Started doing my car with the peel & seal today, I was worried about the smell, but actually to me, there is no noticable odor. Only problem is I already ran out (2 rolls) to finish the whole trunk and side wells. But hell $12 a roll beats the hell out of anything else. Stuff doesn't feel too sticky but when you lay it on and press it's staying, only around 60s here today and it sticks good I can't imagine being able to reposition it if it was hotter. I took it for a spin and I swear I already can't hear as much exhaust or wheel noise. Can't wait to finish it up.

like i said, cheap and nice. if you really want it to stick, make sure the surface is really clean and use a hairdryer to heat it up. mine's still going strong 3+ yrs. oh, and no smell

I meant the smell of the spray/paint-on stuff.
Looking good, auxout. Maybe I can do a thin coat of the quietcar stuff, put on some of the mat, and then some nice new carpet. Mercedes interior, baby! :lala:

Wow, I can't wait to try this stuff! I've been looking forever for an alternative to Dynamat, and this looks like the thing!
Any reccommendations on how much I should get to do both doors and the hatch area?

My rear hatch area took a little more than 5 rolls...that is everything from the rear to the back seat (but not under the back seats). I feel good about the coverage.:lala:
