Newb looking for system help

Right now I'm looking at getting a Pioneer DEH-P7600MP for the head unit and CDX-P1280 for the cd changer. Thats it so far.. I want to stick with Pioneer for the whole system, want it to sound real good (don't care about being deafeningly loud), any size; shape; or placement of the speakers will work (custom dash) and I've got about $1200 to put into it. So what should I be putting in?

with that budget, if you didn't say u wanted to stay with pioneer you would have endless possibilities. pioneers head units are good but i haven't heard much on their component speaker or amps at all.

That’s a good HU, but for the rest of the system why all Pioneer? There is no real advantage to going with all one brand. Don’t be worried about mixing it up.

Agreed, don't be afraid of mixing brands.

I'm the wrong guy to ask; all my car stuff is Pioneer except for the wires and the amp.

is an eq really neccessary with the amount of EQ available thru the HU.

as for speakers and locations.... 5.25" components in kick panels up front. nothing for the rear. in the way back put two 12s in an enclosure that goes in the dip.

seems like it, but i kinda like the one i picked out better. i wouldn't know what to do with a 13 band EQ anyway.. any other ideas for speakers or amps?

i was thinking maybe a pair of 10s where the rear seats used to be?
