I've had a 400Watt California Profile amp since I was 16 years old, and i'm 24 now. It's still going strong, and has powered everything from 2 10 inch mtx's in my s-10 pickup, to 1 18 inch kicker comp in the trunk of my old hoopty...Still runnin strong, bridged mono runnin a 12 inch fosgate, and still performs like the day I bought it. I'd say go for it, haven't had any of their new stuff, but if it is as good as it was then, it's a good investment.

Chris, how do the newer models work, Mine is the old white with the red LED power light, and it hits as hard as the day that I got it...Just wondering, because I can't get the white ones anymore, and I want to go multiple amp....I have always stood true with the profile amps.

Well I also have the newest models of them too. I think they hit really nice for the price. You can get the Mono amp at 420Watts RMS @ 2 ohm for $75 bucks on ebay that is just unbeatable. The ones in the picks above I got from cruchfiled about 2 years ago and I push them hard all the time. They are in my truck now pushing 2 10" alumapros for the mono amp and a set of cerwin vegas 6.5 components. The newest models below are rated at 10 more RMS then the older blue models above. I have the CA600m for the subs and the AP1040 4 Channel running kenwood 6x9 and kenwood 4x6. It is a great setup for the price. the 4 channel runs 75watts x4 RMS @ 4ohm 125 watts x4 RMS @ 2ohm.

Why is that so Laughable??....There isn't a darn thing wrong with these amps..Everyone, and I repeat Everyone that I have ever known to have owned one of these california profile amps, says that they are very underrated for their performance, and for the money you can't beat them. And gees if you can find something cheaper on ebay more power to ya...don't understand why people always gotta chime in and talk Sh#t........That's one thing that chaps my A$$ is that people are always downing people's equipment or setup.....Obviously some people weren't brought up with the same morals of if you don't have anything nice to say then keep quiet....Sorry to vent but I have just seen too many damned posts where people are downing other people, and it annoys the hell out of me.

i will hook up a meter to any profile amp you can find that hasn't been modified, and i bet you dont get an underrated amp.

i HAVE used profile stuff before, and i wasn't impressed, it's just an inexpensive amp.

dont get your panties in a wad, nobody would sell an amp that made 400 REAL WATTS rms for 75$, that is ****ing stupid.

profile amps are ok, to say they are underrated is a bunch of . I have used the CL and california amps in my car and they both did the job fine couple years ago when i didn't have the cash for anything else. Just recently bought a used kicker zr240 from a friend and that thing beats the snot out of the profiles any day. If you don't have the cash to shell out for a better amp, profile amps aren't bad.

I had a "400 watt" Profile California series amp when I was in high school. It barely made more power than my head unit and sure as hell wasn't worth the $150 I paid for it.
