Infinity 4x6 mounting depth??

I have been researching a new stereo for my RS. I have selected the following:

Pioneer DEH-P3600 head unit
Infinity 9603i 6x9 rear speakers
Infinity 6402cfp 4x6 front speakers

Problem: the mounting depth on the 4x6's is listed at 1 15/16". Crutchfield says these won't fit in the stock hole. When I select the Kenwood or Pioneer ones they say are a direct fit, the depth on those are 1 3/4". So there is 3/16" difference.

Is it a big headache to get these to fit or with a slight, easy mod here and there, will they work? I don't want the Kenwood or Pioneers. Is there another Infinity speaker that will fit in the 4x6 hole without mod. I am not looking for a component speaker nor will I be using an amp.

Just need some feedback before I drop $300.

Thanks

there probably is some way to do it easily...I did my 4x6 and 6x9's lil while ago, and it does look a lil tight in there, but maybe u could use longer screws 3/16's of an inch longer at least, and then just put some nut that is 3/16's of an inch think in front of each hole.....kinda a lazy way to do it, but it would hold the speakers 3/16's of an inch higher..

dont know if that would give enough top clearance...or cause any other problems, but in my head, it would work =D

Yeah I was thinking if I spaced it up, but the more I looked at the picture of the speaker, the magnet is offset. Maybe this is why it doesn't fit. I may take off the dash pad and look to see what is in the way. I know the HVAC plastic is under the speakers, but I don't know how close it is.
