What does 1.5 DIN mean? I'm looking at a 2004 Sunfire Mp3/CD/monsoon player for my '91 TA.

Sorry for the thread hijack.

Well all after market stereos are "Single DIN" so 1.5 DIN is just that one and a half times the height. or 3 1/2 inches high.

So all Delco decks are usually 3.5 inches tall? What about the decks that are tape and CD what are they called?

some of the import radios are double DIN. They are harder to get replacements for. Kenwood, Clarion and I think Jenson make some decent aftermarket replacements. You could always get an adapter kit and install a DIN with a pocket. The look good. My .02
