im thiknig of doing this sometime i dunno when, since i gutted my A/C and heat, im thinking of puting the deck in place of the switchs and makeing a place to store CD's and crap below, where the deck used to be.... why, becuz i hate dealing with shifter and CD's and i have no heat or a/c and i hate looking at the switchs....

ive never done it but it seems easy enough u would have to drill holes to mount the install kit but first take the controls out and make sure its deep enough right there for the cd player. i cant picture the old opening in my head but it may be a good place to put a lcd screen or somethin if u like that sorta thing or for dataloging or what ever. if not ud need to make a plate to cover that opening or cut the plate for rocker screws options are unlimited.

man... i am in oregon, it gets like 40* here at the lowest. and i would never yank my heat.... how do you keep the windshield from fogging up?
you would need to modify the trim plate that goes on the front (make a new one perhaps?) it is not big eniough for a single din unit.
if you need a storage cuby you may want to hunt down a "radio delete" panel. they had a storage cuby there factory. would look pretty chill
good luck. hope to see pics of this finished to perfection soon.
