Pioneer Stereo gets hot
Has anyone else had this problem. This only happends when the car is running. My stereo Pioneer CD player shuts of within 45 minutes of driving. It says HEAT, and won't play the CD anymore, but will play the radio. My old CD player worked fine and never had that problem. I know it get warm where the deck is located above the transmission. I tried the insalate it better, but no luck there. I think my pioneer is to sensitive, but I'm not sure.

Well, First thing to do any time you have a over temp problem is check the speakers. Ohm them out and see that they are all over 3 ohms (should be 4 ohms but never are for several reasons). Also check the ground. If that all checks out it's probably a bad thermistor (temp sensor) in the HU or bad connections at the microprocessor. Not common but happens. It's fixable, but you'll have to decide if you what to spend the money on it. It is a mid-level couple year old unit after all. To bad you're on the wrong side of the country.
