Finally got around to posting this. I put a Monsoon Headunit out of a 2000 Camaro in the 92. I am extremely impressed by the results, and simplicity of the install. I had to notch the heater vents with a dremel and that was basically it. After that, just plug and play. I know there is all this hubb-bubb about the Monsoon's not being that great, but my intentions were to have an aftermarket CD player while still retaining a stock appearance. I also want a CD player with larger buttons so I don't have to fool around with it while I'm driving. And there's not 30,000 different options and menus that I'll never use like a brandname aftermarket headunit. Here's a few pics.

Looks good.. Though, I've always wondered... On the volume ****, the rotatable selector that surrounds it, 4 positions, left hand side... What does that do exactly?

Thats the speed control volume, it adjusts your volume to your speed, im assuming louder when you're going faster. someone on the board hooked it up. im sure if you search around you can find them.

 

Looks nice. The SCV is so cool. Do you have any zoomed out pics, that shows the whole dash?

hey red, i bought the same 4th gen radio, but how did you get the scv to work in your car? mine is a 84 z28 and i can't seem to find the vss wire to connect it to. your system looks great.
