Bose Kickpanels
Just scored a pair of black factory GM Bose kickpanels today. I was going to save up and pay $200 for a set of custom kicks that would fit a 6.5" component setup, but these were WAAAAY more in my budget at the moment to try out and see how they work.

My first question is whether any of you have any experience with these, specifically with installing aftermarket speakers in them. I believe the size is 4", but I am guessing that some 4" speakers might fit better than others based on height and location of the mounting tabs.
My second question is whether I should use this in combination with my dash 4x6 speakers, or in place of?
Oh, and yes, I will be covering them in vinyl or carpet, not leaving them with the old glue showing as they are now!
Thanks in advance.

I got some BOSE kicks and used them as a template to build my own out of wood and they hold a 6.5". The plastic will be hard to modify but not impossible. However making a panel the same size out of wood would be easier IMO.
Dont use the 4x6s with the kick panels.
