i can not get my in-dash speakers out. My socket set wont fit under the winshield and the screws are metric and my wrenches are standard. How did you guys get yours out?

buy some decent tools. You got money to buy new speakers you can go buy a decent tool set with metric AND standard wrenches *cough*Craftsman*cough*

Re: in-dash speakers
What i ended up doing was for the smaller sockets i just went to the dollar store and bought a set for like 4 bucks i do believe it goes all the way up to 1/2 inch. and what ever is close to that in metric... But im not cranking on them enough to ever break them... and then i just bought a little ratchet screwdriver thing from walmart. Works wonders for all the int stuff. I just keep the case in the car under the seat its like 5x8 inches... and i can use that no problem to take out any plastic pieces or any of that stuff. Then i also got a small torx bit set also for relatively cheap. for the bigger bolts i actually went and spent the cash for a nice set... i got craftsmen sockets because all i have to do is drive like 4 miles to sears if they break and then i gt snap on wrenches and all that jazz.

Re: in-dash speakers
are you throwing the speakers out after you take them out of the car? if so and you dont want to buy a small socket set just rip the guts out of the speaker and hold the nuts inplace with youre fingers while you unscrew the screws.
