will this fix my problem?

ok so i just bought a used mtx6000 10". installed it and noticed that the center part of the cone is seperating from the rest of it. would i be able to just glue it back to the cone? or is it trashed? i will put a picture up to better show the problem. -jon

the woofer is blown.. to me it is trashed.. you can glue it together and it will still "work" but it wont have as good of quality and most likely will separate again... is there just a little part that is separating, or is the whole cone separating?

then i suppose it would work... but not as a permanent fix, your best but would be to glue the woofer, then save up to buy a new/better one.

Re: will this fix my problem?

That should just be a dust shield. The only issue would be it vibrating against the woofer cone. You should be able to glue it and as long as it holds everything else should be normal.

Re: will this fix my problem?

I'd glue it down, it's only purpose is to keep dust out of the coil and what not. You don't want build up down there and things touching from a dust blanket.
