Probably a dumb ?, but...

The only dumb question is the one that goes unasked (or something like that...). Anyway, I picked up a Sony headunit for fairly cheap off eBay, and I want to get it put in real quick just to make sure it works. On my car, the only speakers left in it (others were taken out/stolen before I bought the car) are the aftermarket Jensen 6x9's in the sail panels (massive hackjob installation, too). My question is: Is it ok to have only the rear channel speakers hooked up to the head unit, I mean, will it cause any problems not having a front channel hooked up? Thanks

Your fine, the front and rears should have the same wattage output. Just make sure your unused channel wires are snipped or taped so they don't short.
