A single 12 inch sub in you thirdgen...Whose got them?
I'm looking to put a single 12 inch sub in my 91 rs. Does anyone have any pics or ideas for a custom made box? I'm looking for a nice clean look. Thanks

Put it in a detergent box, that'll give u that "clean" look
JK
you should be able to build one for just 1 sub to sit flush in the hump,
And mount the amp directly over the gas tank (without drilling trough it of course)some people add an extra piece of mdf under it to be safe)

depends how big you want the box and the specs on your sub and what sqft. the sub will sound best at. **** i built my own box for my 15" Solo Baric and it fits pretty well.

No box - just a shelf with one sub - it's a 10, but a 12 will work fine, as I have my 10 covered with a 12 grill. It sounds great, no rattling issues, and plenty of thump (for me anyway), it was cheap, easy, and took under 2 hours.

I cut some mdf to shape the entire area under the hatch. cut out the hole for the single sub, covered with carpet, added sub and set my amp under in the well. made for a solid look. sounded awesome as well.

i wouldnt go this route, a baffle wont sound as good as a real box, and the amp is getting excessive vibrations as well risk overheating

Start with the plans attached. I modified them a bit to fit the cubic feet of air needed for my single 10" sub. It sits in the well and I mounted my sub, amp, and capacitor on top of it. You may need to put some rags under the leading edge of the lip as it may vibrate the hump over the fuel tank. Sounds awesome!

The "Bucket Sub." I know that one, it actually sounded pretty decent for what it was
