speaker/screen directly under dash mat
u know that section of plastic...directly above the center console, to the left of the z28 emblem..yet directly under teh dash mat!?! what behind there..been thing about drilling for a while now...
either a min 6'' or so screen and two 4 titanium bullet tweeters...or 3 4'' speakers?
any info gang

did some digging, but unfortunately all his photos are dead links now (forgot he did this back in 03, wow time flies). shoot him a pm, he may still have something kicking around.

behind that area is a wiring harness and at some point in the center there is a metal brace to help support the dash assembly. The center ducts might run down right there too. I wouldn't drill directly into it without dropping the steering column and partially disassembling/ separating the dash shell. Otherwise there's a very good chance you'll drill into something you don't want to.
