Weird speaker problem
Hey everyone,
Ive got an 88 firebird. The problem im having is with the speakers working. It has the stock am/fm cassette player, and unfortunatley still the stock speakers( will replace eventually). When I turn on the radio sound comes out of all 4 speakers just like its supposed to and works perfect. However, when I put a tape in and use the tape player sound only comes out of the front and back drivers side speakers. The passenger side speakers are mute when using the tape player but work fine with the radio.
Any ideas of what the heck is going on?
Thanks

Re: Weird speaker problem
sounds like the cassette head may have lost its connection to the psgr side. try cleaning the head to make sure its not just dirty. due to age, it may be a corroded/broken wire though. might be time to replace it with something newer
