over the radio when you first bought your thirdgen?
When i bought mine in 1990,as i pulled out of the lot

every time i hear that song it takes me back to that
moment more than 20yrs ago

all my audio is blown since i bought the car(dec 09), and honestly audio is last thing i'll replace especially w/ ttops leaking aswell atm.

Although the first song i had playing on Garage Radio while working on the car was Battle Stations by Winger. Does that count? lol

Re: First song...

Took a few months before I got the radio to play on all speakers but the song that was playing was "Magma Kid". When I first got to get the radio to play at all the song I remember is "TNT" which was about 3 months after I got the car. But nothing quite beats the memory of how your car smelled when you first got it though and the first time I heard the engine roar!

First cd I played in it was Iron Maiden's "Live After Death". Picked it because it was recorded in 85 and the car is an 85. Car had no radio at all when I bought it.

Re: First song...

First song that played when I started the new motor after I swapped to a V8...

AC/DC Back in Black

I had no idea how loud I was playing the radio until I turned the motor off after breaking the camshaft in... Pretty loud, seeing as I could hear the music over open headers! My ears were ringing a lil after that, oops.

Re: First song...

My 86' didn't have a stereo and still dosn't, but when I bought my 91' and got it registered and all I drove it to school blasting Back for More by Ratt...since my Firebird is red and in the video for the song they biefly show the guys in a bright red 83 or 84 Trans Am. As soon as my 86' TA hits the road the first thing I'm putting on is Trans Am by sammy Hagar.

As I turned the key in my 85 Z28 for the first time, I loaded a CD in the POS JVC head unit that came with the car and blasted Suffocate by Motograter.

She was my first car and I'll never forget the **** eating grin on my face as I drove away.
