Sub box with t tops?? How did you do it?
Any pics of how you guys did this? I want to still be able to put my t tops back there just like stock so any ideas? I want to put two 10's back there.
Aldo if anyone is selling any t top latches, the things in the trunk that the bag clips too I need them.

I did a single 12" in the lower well area on my last car, hit more than hard enough for anyone in the car. Just dug up the thread I had made years ago (old sn CAMp3RO):

if you're creative, you can probably do 10s in a similar style box; just throwing out options, that's all

I have two 12" Xplod's and I always throw the t-tops in the back over top of my subs.
I hate turning down my bass, but there isn't really another option.

Re: Sub box with t tops?? How did you do it?
I didn't build a box, just a shelf that sets on top of the two humps on each side in the well, and I have two 12's on that. They actually are just two 12 covers, with one having a 10 under it - but you can see that 2 12's would easily fit. Only difference between mine and a box is the actual box underneath. My amp is mounted on the underside between the two speakers (or i my case the two faux speakers).
I actually like it - I get storage room underneath for a small tool set, flashlight, jumper cables, a 400w power inverter, and the wife's purse hides under there at the car shows.

at work we took the dimensions from the normal sub box and just cut it down so it sits down lower than the t top latches if youre worried about air space for your subs you can put "stuff" in it, its like the padding under the carpet it just tricks the sub into thinking it has the proper air space needed

Re: Sub box with t tops?? How did you do it?
I had one built using the sticky at the top as a guideline. The bottom half of the box was built using fiberglass and the top with MDF. I didn't need the whole well to make up the air space required, so it was easy to set the top of the box down a bit, then have a cover made to look like the stock one. T-tops lay right on top using stock hardware.

just put a grill over the subs so when you put your t-top bag in the back it wont hit the subs, that or just fold down the back seat and put them there thats what i always did
