hooking up head unit
hooking up head unit
i just bought a new pioneer head unit and im wiring it all together just have a little question on the grounding. so the head unit has a black cable out the back with a little stakon to ground it to a bolt. I'm just wondering if the black cable on the wires in the car that attach to my adapter are also the ground cable. do i have to ground that black cable off the head unit or can i just wire it to the black cable already in the car because its already grounded? if not wheres the best place to ground the unit. thanks

i've seen a lot of the aftermarket decks have that ring terminal on the gnd wire, but you can usually use the factory gnd in the harness without issue.

I always use the ground wire in the harness adapter.
