Hey..guys I have an 89 GTA and I just replaced the torque pins and the nylon gear and replaced the gear with an aluminum one. Now the headlights always, raise but don't always go down, they are totally intermittent in that regard, one will go down , both will go down, none will go down etc.. Does anyone have a clue why this is happening? BTW if you are own a third gen in Toronto I would like to meet, I have all kinds of questions. You can also reply to champam@hotmail.com

not sure if this will help but i have the same problem but i can always get them to close by pushing a little harder and the switch sounds stupid but works good luck

I have the same issue. I need to wait a moment and push HARD sometimes. I need to try greasing the hinges. Not sure if that will help being that they are moving at the same time.
