Need a little help in the radio area

Well when I got the car it had an old kenwood cd player in it that really didn't work so I was wondering since I already have a 93 camaro can I just hack out the old connector and put it in my 92 the original owner just cut wires and taped them together and I want to do it right any ideas.

Go to a junk yard, find a radio and pull the radio and harness (or just the harness that plugs into the radio. Re-splice the wires with the correct pigtails/harness so it will plug into the factory radio corrrectly. Then get a 4th gen Stereo from a Camaro or Firebird, get the adapter harness, plug it in and go. Only mods that you'll need to do are to enlarge the faceplate area a bit, get the adapter harness, and drill new screw holes which are hidden by the face plate. this way you'll have a CD player. Also, if you get a radio from a 2000-2002 4th gen and a GM-AUX9 adapter, you plug that into the CD changer portion of the radio and you can now run your IPOD through the adapter into the radio which is what I've done.
