dash speakers arent screwd in
yeah i put infinity kappas in, and while the passenger was a breeze the drivers side wasnt. i kinda had to shimmy it because the magnets on the speakers are large for the drivers side, i managed to get it deep as possible but none of the mounting screws aligne and also there about half a centimer gab on some of the sides because only one side of it is touching the dash. my question is with that is will that cause any problems with it not being held by screws and prematurelyy wear them out i mean its being held by the speaker grills i guess

Wow 1 "," and "." just kidding.
Can you rotate the speakers until they could lay flat and drill new holes?
I have speakers in my camaro where the holes do not line up, I drilled new holes and used sheet metal screws.

Haha well it's prolly more than 1 but if I the speaker itself can't really lay flat I have to kind tilt to one side in order for it to touch the dash, not sure if I should crazy glue the crap out of it?

Re: dash speakers arent screwd in
Yeah never mind I got them in better but now my problem is because they kinda stick out a bit when I try to screw the dash pad back on the left most side which is the drivers side won't stay down, I tryd to screw it down where the screw goes but if I press on it it the dash kinda jumps up because of the speaker sticking kinda up. It's not a crazy big deal because its not too noticeable but if u do have any advice on securing that's side would be helpfull
Re: dash speakers arent screwd in
Unlike camaros, firebirds have less room on the drivers side with that plastic air duct underneath it. I would try taking a heat gun to it, warm it up, and try to form it down a bit to give more clearance for the magnet.
