Anyone know if wiring is same from 84-94? For stock stereo?

Thanks but I really didn't find any info there comparing 84-94 stereo wiring.

 

94 is different from 84 . GM went from the 12 pin to 21 pin connector in 88 in cars and 91-92 in trucks and vans. You can buy an adapter to go either way from Metra.

 

Cool thanks just saved alot of grief. Was just about wire buddy money for a stereo that I probably couldn't hook up.

 

You can hook it up with the factory harness if you still have it installed in your car. You will just need the proper adapter. What radio were you looking at buying? I may be able to help you find a suitable solution to wire it in.

 

I bailed on buying that stereo. But can you tell me up to what year of camaro will work without hassle?

 

Anything from a 82-02 will work. Just depends on the style you want. In fact almost any 1.5 din GM radio will work.

 

Of course you could get an aftermarket HU and humount plate
