i need amp help.....

my front 6.5 components say they can handle 150 watts. so can anyone tell me what kind of amp i should put into those?? should i get an amp that has 150 watts per channel or something less or more?? ive never dealt with amps before can someone help me. thanks.

150 watts max or RMS? A 30-50 watt RMS per channel amp should be fine. Generally speaking, the big power needs to goto the subs. Mids and tweets require little power in comparison.

9 times outa 10, 150 watts means max power, so i figure 75 watts rms. a 30-50 watt "rated" amp will work just fine. check out your local stereo shops for the brands then post your findings back here. were always here to lend our 2 cents.

yea, it said max power. 150 watts max power. so what should i use for that, and a pair of 240 max power 6x9's?? i would like to get one 4 channel amp for those and later throw a sub and a seperate amp in. by the way, what does RMS mean???? thanks

What brand of speakers are these?

A good 4x50 watt Pioneer, kenwood ect. amp will be great for all 4 speakers. A 4x30 Kicker or Rockford would be even better.

they are both pioneer. the fronts are TSC1653 6 1/2 component, and the rear are TSA6999 3 way 6x9's. any suggestions?

I'd probably suggest the pioneer 30x4 or maybe a 50x4 amp.

RMS= Root Mean Square its a formula that measures continous AC power.
