Built a custom enclosure for the TA

When I bought car in August the PO had 2 12" pyramid subs in almost a lid that sat flush over the back well. It was not only ugly but old....so I went to work and built myself an enclosure for a single 10" pioneer comp series sub. I made the box to sit on the mid shelves as I call them. I then took a piece of interior to our local trim shops and found the best match I could. Got her all in and installed last night. I'm pretty happy with the setup and it sounds better than those old dinosaurs that were in the car.

This is exactly what I want to do. Thinking about having the amp part recessed though.

Re: Built a custom enclosure for the TA

Was very easy to make. I only used a 4x4 sheet of 3/4 MDF. I wasn't sure how it would sound only being a 10" but I'm more than happy with it as I wasn't looking to rattle my car apart.

Sounds good. Be careful when you go 12" you're going to have to go fairly deep in order to get the area on top for the 12" sub face to screw to.

Nice install.

I'm a big fan of Pioneer subs.

Re: Built a custom enclosure for the TA

Thanks I've always been partial to JL but I got a deal on the pioneer that I couldn't say no to.
