My firebird has an aftermarket deck, older one I believe. When I turn to any station it only gets static. No voices, no music, straight static. But the CD player works fine. I check the antenna plug in and it's in all the way. When I unplug the antenna, the static gets quiet, and louder with it plugged in.

Is the head unit junk? Or do I have a different issue.

Really hope someone can help.
