Loose aux input
Hey guys,
I have an aftermarket pioneer in car that has been in when I bought the car. Fits in nice with the red on the stereo. Good choice from the past owner. Anyways, the aux input is loose and causing the sounds to get staticy until you have the cord in a specific position. My gf bought me a new cord in hopes of fixing it but we had no luck. The new cord is better but still needs to be strung up.
Any fixes for this? I am looking at aux to blue tooth. If I could have a box that lays there I'd never need to worry about bumping the cord. I am worried about the sound quality though. Any opinions on this? No radio stations where I live and I do a ton of highway driving so this feature would be awesome to have working

Re: Loose aux input
Head units can be had so inexpensively now, I don't really see any reason to mess with the unit you have.
That said, if you are electronically inclined, you can probably break the unit down and re-solder the connections for the aux port.

Re: Loose aux input
I've never messed with aftermarket stereos before. I pushed a button and the head came off. Can I just purchase another head or do I have to get the same one? Thanks for the help! I wanted a cheaper fix but heads really aren't that bad online. Even Bluetooth ones
