Hearing somebodys stereo from blocks away

Does anybody know what kinda watts or DB's it takes so people can hear you from like 2-3 blocks away? I wanna be able to beat my friends(theres only goes about a block) and I'm gonna run a 12" infinity reference with 225w will this beat them? Thanks for the time.

you will blow your low end infinity sub if you turn it up that loud. you would need at least 2 so you could split the power between the 2, that way you avoid blowing the driver of the sub.

personally, i used to have the back window of my truck flexin, and my amps had the power to be loud, but my alternator didnt And you could hear it down the street from my house which was a few blocks. The amps were a soundstream 80x2 amp, and a 120 watt x 2 pioneer amp pushing 2 12" rockford XLC's.

now i got a kicker zr240 amp and dual 12 in Jl W0's and i can hit over 140 decibles with that and thats a lot louder than my truck.

so in short, didnt take wattage for me, more along the design and placement of the subs.

Ha ha! thanks for the advice with that MTX. I'd do it if I had the money but I don't so....... I'll stick with my infinity.

I wouldn't...you can't even play real music on it can you? If you want a massive SPL sub there are other options such as the IDMAX, or even the tried-and-true HCCA's, which are also superb SQ subs.

4 15 inch Rockford Power DVC's!

I have 4 15 inch Rockford Power DVC's @ 2000 max, 1000 rms.. Running them are 4 Rockford BD1000a1's... This setup can be heard from miles away!!!! Well not that far, but farther than most.... I can turn it up even close to full when im in the car because it takes your air away... Cant even breathe.. I am very happy with it, and if u want to beat your friends? YOU WOULD KILL THEM WITH THIS!
