Deck won't work! Fix or buy new one? Which new one to get?
Deck won't work! Fix or buy new one? Which new one to get?
I have a fairly cheap ($200 or so) Kenwood deck that's about a year and a half old. It suddenly stopped working. First, it cut out quite a bit, particularly going around corners, to the point where it was barely worth listening to. Now it won't work all together. I pulled it out, and stuck in an old deck my friend had, and it worked, so it isn't a wiring or speaker problem. The fuse in the back looks fine too. For now, I stuck the old AC Delco stocker in there with a Discman adaptor, but that isn't really paying the bills. Is there anything simple that could be wrong with it? Is it worth trying to get mine fixed? If a new one is my best option, any suggestions? I'll probably get it at Circuit City, and would be reluctant to spend more than $300. Any help is appreciated.
