first you need to know if thats the max power rating or the RMS rating (rare meadian square) then get a two channel amp for each speaker.

since u spent so much on SPL 12's, might as well go with a soundstream amp to push them. im not really familiar with the new stuff, but i hear the rubicons are well built. get something with 1-2 ohm potential becuase, if im not mistaken, those SPL's are dual voice coil which allows u to wire to 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 ohms. 1 ohm would get the most out of your amp, and soundstream used to make alot of amps that were stable to 1 ohm and below.

good luck!

The power ratings for the speakers is useless, especially in your case. You're going to be running subs, so your speakers will be running high pass, so your power requirements will be drastically lower. A 30x2 (Not Krako power) will probably be as much as you'll need.

jim, I think he meant the subs are rated at 300 watts!

Get something with at least as high RMS (which is actually Root Mean Square) output as your subs, and can achieve it with no distortion! getting something with slightly higher output will leave some overhead and you won't be pushing your amp to 100% all the time (good idea..)

Your best options are to run stereo bass, with a 2 channel amp running one channel to each sub with the coils in parallel (2 ohms). Or you can run mono bass, with your subs in parallel, coils in series (4 ohms) or with your subs in parallel with the coils in parallel (1 ohm) make sure you get a amp that can handle these loads (2 ohms per channel, 2 ohms bridged, 1 ohm bridged, respectively)

Buy a good quality amp!

somebody smack me. I read a post somewhere where somebody was looking to amp their highs, and when I revisited this post I apparently got confused. I'm going to go hide now and suck my thumb in shame.
